Improvements in single-use syringes. It has a tubular body 1 which accommodates a plunger 2 and a needle 8, which can be moved by means of a rod 16. It includes means for retaining the needle outside the body 1, and means for releasing the needle located inside the body 1 after application of the injection. It includes means 31', 32' and 33' for leakproof sealing, of the proximal end of the body 1, and means 52 and 53 for positioning and guiding of the needle when the plunger 2 is operated. It includes means 28, for leakproof insertion of the rod 16, vacuum being produced in the body 1 when the needle is moved out, the liquid being automatically drawn in if it is retained outside. It has means 31', 32', 33' for fixing the rod in any position to absorb the required amount of liquid. The means 52, 53 for positioning and guiding of the needle, constitute means which prevent the needle from coming out after absorption of the plunger-needle inside the body 1 has been effected.
