Environmentally friendly polyolefin foil for plant cultivation, e.g. as greenhouse cover

A polyolefin foil comprises: (a) polyolefin resin (b) hindered amine (c) hydrotalcite cpd. and (d) UV absorber. Pref. the foil conveniently comprises 2 or more, esp. 3, layers and suitably contains 0.02-5 wt.% (b), 0.1-25 wt.% (c) and 0.01-3 wt.% (d). The resin component (a) is advantageously polyethylene or a copolymer of ethylene with alpha -olefin or vinyl acetate. When a polyethylene is used, this pref. has a max. density of 0.93 g/cm3.
