METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MEASURING QUANTITY OF ADMIXTURE IN READY-MIXED CONCRETE

A method of measuring the quantity of an admixture inready-mixed concrete comprises the steps of collectingvolatile components generated from the admixture, measuringthe concentration of the collected volatile components, andderiving the quantity of the admixture in the ready-mixedconcrete from the measured concentration of the volatilecomponents. An apparatus for executing this methodcomprises a detecting probe and a main measuring unit. Theprobe includes a gas collecting section and a gas sensor.The main measuring unit for carrying out arithmeticoperations on detected information received from thedetecting probe, includes a microprocessor for controllingthe operation of the entire apparatus, and a display fordisplaying the detected information received from themicroprocessor.
