A pleated shade adapted to be custom sized at the point ofpurchase and apparatus and method for custom sizing pleatedshades at the point of purchase is disclosed. The pleated shademay be downsized in four simplistic steps. The apparatus andmethod may be operated and performed by those persons with theskill level commonly found today in retail outlets.
