IMPROVEMENT TO MEMBRANE TYPE DEAERATOR

The membrane type deaerator according to thepresent invention is characterized by the arrangement andconnected condition of a plurality of membrane deaeratormodules and a water sealed vacuum pump connected thereto.These modules are series-connected between a raw watersupply line and a deaeration water supply line. A firstvacuum pump is connected to a first deaerator module via adeaeration line, and a second vacuum pump to a seconddeaerator module via the deaeration line. These vacuumpumps are each provided with a seal water supply line whichis used to send as seal water the raw water introduced fromthe water supply line thereinto to each of the first andsecond vacuum pumps, and a discharge line for the secondvacuum pump is connected to the deaeration line for thefirst vacuum pump. In the membrane type deaerator thusformed, the deaeration performance is improved greatly, anda deaeration with dissolved oxygen concentration of severalPPB can be carried out.
