A pharmaceutical composition utilized for increasingneovascularization and angiogenesis during wound healing in a mammalbeyond the level of neovascularization and angiogenesis which would occur atthe wound site without any treatment, said composition comprising an effectiveamount of any angiostatic steroid which has reduced or no deteriorative ordetrimental side effects combined with an effective amount of a form ofhyaluronan such as hyaluronic acid and pharmaceutically acceptable saltsthereof.
