The present invention relates to recombinant DNA comprising DNA coding for smooth muscle-type myosin heavy chain SM1 isoform protein inserted into vector DNA, a microorganism carrying the recombinant DNA, and an agent for treatment of arteriosclerosis comprising the recombinant DNA.
