Remedies for dysuria resulting from prostatic hypertrophy, which contain a highly selective alpha 1l-adrenergic receptor blocker as the active ingredient and do not affect blood pressure. The remedies are prepared in a conventional manner through the incorporation of an effective amount of (-)-(R)-1-(3-hydroxypropyl)-5-[2-[[2-[2-(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)phenoxy]ethyl]amino]propyl]indoline-7-carboxamide, a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof, or a solvate of either; or alternatively, (-)-(R)-1-(3-hydroxypropyl)-5-[2-[[2-[2-(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)phenoxy]ethyl]amino]propyl]indole-7-carboxamide, a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof, or a solvate of either.
