The invention relates to a method and a device for determining the acoustic properties of a channel for conducting sound. At least parts of the sound-conducting channel (1) can be assembled and measured in a separate measuring device. The analysis is carried out by determining the variation in value and phase of a series of fundamentals and a selected number of their harmonic waves, from one end of the sound-conducting channel (1) to the other.
