The invention relates to a method for monitoring the area of technical roller bodies, especially the supports thereof, in which forces which occur there are detected with sensors in order to generate electric energy and to detect state changes in the area. At least one of the sensors (2, 3, 4) arranged in the area of the technical roller bodies can be actively actuated with electric energy, and impulses which can be evaluated are passed into the support (1) of the sensor (2, 3, 4) operating as an actuator. This enables that during monitoring, impulses which can be evaluated and which are detected with sensors (2, 3, 4) can be analyzed at any time in the area (1) of the technical roller bodies with an electric evaluation unit.
