A universal force measurement device which can be used for tilt-up doors or the like in order to measure the closing force of power operated closures in buildings, comprising a retaining device (10) for a force sensor, consisting of a retaining mechanism (18) which enables the force sensor (12) to be secured in an adjustable manner at a predetermined and preferably individually selective measuring point (M1, M2). The inventive device also comprises an angular adjustment mechanism (32) which brings the force sensor (12) at the specific measuring point (M1, M2) into line with the direction of the closing movement (R1, R2) of a building closure panel, more particularly a door panel (14), at the measuring point (M1, M2).
