Hot-melt-adhesive, micro-fibers-generating conjugate fibers, have the following characteristics in thatthe fibers have a fineness of one denier or more;at least one conjugate component (1) of the conjugate fiber has an island-in-sea structure and is exposed at the surface of the conjugate fiber;the other conjugate component (4) of the conjugate fiber comprises a thermoplastic resin having a melting point below that of the resin (2) constituting the island part of the island-in-sea structure and has a fineness of 0.5 denier or more;the sea part (3) of the conjugate component is removable by solvent treatment; andeach island part of the conjugate structure, after removal of the sea part, has a fineness of 0.2 denier or less.
