Cell-specific vector (A) for introduction of at least one gene (I) into the cells of an organism comprises: (a) non-viral carrier for (I); (b) ligand (II) that binds specifically to target cells; (c) a fusion (i.e. fusogenic) protein (III) for penetration of (A) into target cell cytoplasm and (d) the gene (I).
