Novel light stabilisers based on calixnarenes and resorcnarenes

New stabilisers based on calixÄnÜarenes and resorcÄnÜarenes of formulae (I) and (II) are new (where n = 1-8; R1 = H, 1-18C alkyl, 3-10C cycloalkyl, or aromatic residue substituted by H, 1-4C alkyl, trifluoromethyl, 1-4C alkoxy, halogen, cyano, carboxy, nitro, amino, 1-4C alkylamino, 1-4C dialkylamino, acyl or acyloxy; R2 = 1-18C alkyl; R3 = CH2C(O), C(O), C(O)-C(O), CH2CHR1 or (CH2-CH2-O)x; x = 1-8; R4 = group of formulae (III) to (VII); R5 = H, 1-20C alkyl, O radical, OH, NO, CH2CN, benzyl, allyl, 1-30C alkyloxy, 5-12C cycloalkyloxy, 3-10C alkenyl, 3-6C alkynyl, 1-10C acyl, halogen, or un-substituted phenyl or phenyl-substituted by 1-4C alkyl; and R6 = H or 1-12C alkyl). Production of the stabilisers is also claimed.
