Zircon based pigments containing ceramic decorative colours with increased couloring power, process for their preparation and their use

A glass flux containing 71 wt.% PbO is used to produce a decorative ceramic color with a pigment volume concentration of at least 30%. The pigments are selected from the group consisting of zircon-vanadium blue, zircon praseodymium yellow and yellow to red zircon inclusion pigments containing cadmium sulfide, cadmium selenide and cadmium sulfo-selenide. Also claimed is a process to manufacture such ceramic colors and their application in the production of ceramic decorations with high color variegation, to be burnt in at 1000-1250 degrees C.
