Separates the first luminance signal and the second luminance and chrominance signals from the composite video signal, and separates the second luminance signal and the second chrominance signal from the second luminance and chrominance signals. An -amplified second luminance signal is generated by multiplying the second luminance signal by a gain , and then an upper luminance signal and an -amplified second luminance signal are calculated. When the vertical frequency of the luminance signal is a high frequency band, it can be corrected to improve the image quality.
