AEROACOUSTIC OPTIMISATION PROCESS OF AN AXIAL FAN

A process is disclosed for optimising the aeroacoustics of an axial fan. During a first phase, based on a digital computer simulation, the blade geometry of the axial fan blades is aerodynamically optimised by applying a reverse digital design process in conjunction with a first optimisation algorithm. In a second phase, in conjunction with a second optimisation algorithm, the blade geometry is acoustically optimised a first time to reduce stochastic noise by means of another digital process based on turbulence models, then the blade geometry and distribution are acoustically optimised a second time to minimise the periodic noise fraction by means of a singularity calculation process.
