aPL analogs that specifically bind to B cells to which the aPL epitope binds are disclosed. Optimized analogs lacking T cell epitopes are useful as conjugates for the treatment of aPL antibody-mediated diseases. Methods of making and identifying such analogs, methods of treating with such analogs, methods and compositions for producing conjugates of said analogs, and diagnostic immunoassays for aPL antibodies are disclosed.
