If more than one telephone set is being used on the same subscriber loop, the activity can not be properly detected by the central office switch. The present invention provides a method for adjusting signaling activity so that a hook flash or " link " can operate and an apparatus for adjusting the same. The telephone set of the invention detects and synchronizes a different set of hook flashes on the same loop so that the adjusted hook flash or " link " can be properly detected by the internal switch.
