The present invention relates to an apparatus for denormalizing a multichannel audio decoder and a method for denormalizing the same. In particular, in an MPEG-2 multichannel audio decoder, each channel signal normalized to a specific level due to multichannel processing is restored to its original size. By making the denormalization process to be performed by a single multiplication operation, the manipulation process is simple and the time can be shortened.
