The present invention relates to a cationic dye-dyeable polyester resin composition comprising a cationic dye-dyeable polyester resin and a melt viscosity inhibitor.;Adding a melt viscosity inhibitor to a cationic dye-dyeable polyester resin does not lower the intrinsic viscosity and reduces the melt viscosity of the resin, thereby allowing melt spinning of the resin. High strength cationic dye-dyeable polyester fibers can be obtained from the polyester resin composition.
