FIELD: computer-aided design. SUBSTANCE: method for generation of parametric shape of object to be modeled involves reading data which are input by user as equations, generation of additional equations, corresponding to shape definition, arranging equations according to their priority into ranks, sorting arranged equations according to their priority, thus producing sorted list of equations to be solved and solving sorted equations according to order in this list. Finally shape of geometric objects is defined by solutions of these equations. Device and method provide automatic restriction of unknown variables in any used system of equations using heuristics and adding redundant equations for definition and collision resolution between equations to be used for generation of shape.
