FIELD: industrial geophysics; seismic-acoustic methods for investigating wells and the like. SUBSTANCE: excitation and reception points are chosen beyond range of analyzed rock, elastic waves are excited in medium, pressure waves are received within investigation interval in bed liquid, and dynamic characteristics of analyzed waves are compared; signal excitation point is arranged in one of two wells and signal reception point, in other well provision being made for generating waves decaying when propagated in medium; analyzed medium is acted upon by stepwise varying excitation wave amplitude whereupon wave growth and decay rates are recorded in signal reception point; dependences obtained are compared and their data are used to evaluate rock permeability. EFFECT: improved reliability and accuracy of evaluating rock permeability due to effect of filtering transfer on wavefront. 4 dwg
