FIELD: pharmaceutical chemistry. SUBSTANCE: egg oil is prepared from dried and powdered yolk by extracting it with fat solvents followed by two-step ageing: first, at ambient temperature and then at lowered temperature. Emerging lower-viscosity phase is separated by centrifugation and lower-viscosity part of it is further reseparated. The latter, if necessary, is repeatedly mixed with demineralized water, heated, and cooled, after which new lower-viscosity part is separated by centrifugation, and process is repeated to achieve very high purity of egg oil.
