FIELD: nuclear power engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves crushing operations, removal of defective graphite blocks, and installation of substituting ones. Substituting blocks are conveyed to installation site by their horizontal displacement in adjacent units under top biologic shield of reactor starting from passage in upper metal structure of reactor up to defective unit with process channels removed. Upon ceasing displacement, stack of graphite blocks under passage is filled with missing graphite blocks. In this way, entire graphite stacking or most of its blocks can be replaced by new ones in pressure-tube reactors. EFFECT: improved labor productivity and facilitated procedure. 10 dwg
