FIELD: molecular biology, virology. SUBSTANCE: molecules of nucleic acid can be used for producing plants showing the resistance to tobacco mosaic virus. This resistance is caused by the transformation of plants with nucleotide sequences that encode the protein of N-gene. Protein of N-gene recognizes a pathogen and induces the signal cascade of transduction resulting to the expression of resistance to tobacco mosaic virus due to its interaction with its component.
