The cutter comprises at least two blades (4,4') which are mounted on the drive shaft of the sickle mower. The blades have cutting edges (6) in their front longitudinal edges (5,5') in the rotation direction. The cutting edges extend from blade-ends to the hub part (3) of the cutter. The front edge sections are profiled by outer cutting section (8,8') which lie under the plane of the hub part. The blade ends (7,7') are formed as inclined guiding surfaces (36,36') at opposite sides of the cutter.
