The servo scanning clock generator circuit uses servo information to measure the position difference between two heads. This information is recorded in an embedded sector servo function on a pre-arranged cylinder. Whenever a servo address marker is recognised, a definitive head selection signal and a servo scanning enabling signal to scan servo information stored on the relevant tracks of the pre-arranged cylinder are always generated. The circuit includes a clock generator to generate an even/odd identification signal whenever the servo address marker is recognised, and this identification signal is inverted before it is output. It also includes a NAND-gate to couple a servo calibration signal to measure the position difference between heads, and an AND-gate to couple the NAND-gate and a head selection signal, and to generate the definitive head selection signal.
