The invention relates to a method and a device for measuring the flow of flowing media, particularly liquid media, in accordance with the Coriolis measuring principle. The method is characterized in that the medium flows through a meter tube which can oscillate; sensors measure the displacement of the meter tube at at least two different measuring points; and the flow is determined from the amplitude and other oscillation parameters by using an electric evaluation unit. Another sensor is fitted on the site where the oscillation is generated (C). The other two sensors are placed at sites (A, B) which are symmetrical as regards their distance from the site of oscillation generation (C) in relation to the section of the meter tube. The evaluation unit contains logical components which, in case of failure of one of the sensors, signal this and simulate the evaluation function of the defective sensor by interpolation until the defective sensor is replaced.
