Device for locating leaks in flat roofs and flat sloping roofs

The arrangement has strips of material impermeable to water applied to the upper sealing layer of the roof so as to be sealed to the upper layer only in regions and so as to form raster fields on the sealing layer separated from adjacent fields by the regions of the strip sealed with respect to the upper layer. Water is applied to the fields successively to locate the leak.
