Non-allergenic soft toy for children e.g. bear

This toy, an animal or figure, e.g. a teddy bear, has an outer textile skin with soft filling. The textile is air- and moisture permeable. The new feature is the barrier property of the outer layer, which prevents allergenic dust from passing through. Preferably particles of about 0.0005 mm and larger are blocked. The eyes are painted or adhered-on. A woven or fleece material is used for the outer covering, in cotton, and/or plastic fibres, e.g. polyester, nylon or polyolefin. A thin barrier layer of plastic coating and/or polymer film is included, inside the textile layer.
