The visitor (3) move freely around a room that contains display items (2). Each visitor wears a communication unit (4) that has an earpiece and a microphone. A position detection system (7) based around cameras and sensors responds to each visitor who is identified by a specific frequency. The information is relayed to a controller (9) and this outputs information specific to a display item near to the visitor.
