Utilization of passive solar energy for ventilating air energy in houses

A ventilation system has simultaneous fresh air supply and waste air removal, to create an individual small ventilation circuit. This is operated only, when the passive solar energy gains have heated the room air above the set temperature. In a suitable room, fresh air supply is via a mechanical ventilation plant with heat recovery, and simultaneous removal of the same volume of room air heated by solar radiation, via an extraction valve. This is opened/closed by a bypass. During cold times of the year, the ventilation plant is preheated from freezing-up by an electrical heater.
