A motif or image is produced by conventional or digital photography and are then digitally reproduced on a 1:1 scale. The image is then transferred to sheets of paper and these are cut to size and arranged in the desired format. Sheets are then sealed to give a thin decorative layer with a hard wearing and fluid resistant surface. A carrier is constructed and the paper and film composite is pasted or bonded onto this. The floor construction may be based on a modular system.
