The coating equipment has an endless metal conveyer belt (1) onto which a dispenser (3) applies adhesive (7) for transferring to the filter material, a belt heater (2) and a belt cooler (4). Independent claims are made for: a) a filter comprising a fleece strip with folds (11) on which adhesive (7) is applied; b) a method for continuous adhesive application onto a filter material in which an endless steel belt is heated, coated in adhesive, then cooled after transferring the adhesive onto the filter material.
