The device(1) consists of a holder(2) upon which is installed a paring knife(3) guided parallel to the surface of the paint. The knife is located at the front lower end of the holder, and is exchangeable. The holder is provided with two gripping recesses(5,6). The surfaces of at least the paring knife facing the paint surface are covered with a foil to improve the sliding characteristics.
