Self-supported thermoplastic melting adhesive film comprises a hot-melt adhesive layer(s) of high melt viscosity and a hot-melt adhesive layer(s) of low melt viscosity. The layers comprise a matrix polymer from copolyamide, copolyester or thermoplastic polyurethane (PU), and the difference in melt viscosities is at least 2 g/10 mins. An Independent claim is included for the adhesion of coating of porous substrates involving using the above film.
