Data exchange method for water industry

The method involves converting on the transmission side data to be exchanged into frequency signals. The signals are transmitted via at least a telephone network and converted into data on the receiver side. The frequency signals are standard signals of the multi-frequency procedure. Preferably, the data to be exchanged are BCD coded data and the frequency signals are amplified and filtered on the transmitting and the receiving sides.
