Rhenium-containing alloy production by melting - using rhenium master alloy for rhenium addition

In the production of rhenium-containing alloys by melting the alloy constituents, the rhenium is added in the form of an alloy of 30-70 wt.% Re content obtained by melting. Preferably, the added alloy consists of 30-70 (especially 50) wt.% Re and 30-70 (especially 50) wt.% Fe, Co and/or Ni. Also claimed is a Re-containing Fe, Co and/or preferably Ni base alloy produced by the above method.
