Blind with strings fixed to winding mechanism in order to facilitate individual shaping of blind

A rectangular sheet of fabric (10) has three rows of rings (12) for the insertion of pulling strings (14,16,18) which are guided through loops (24) fixed to a transversal holding element (28) and can be wound up on a drum (26) which is operated by a winding mechanism (30) and an endless string (32) positioned beside the blind (100). While the two outer pulling strings (14,18) are fixed to the bottom (20) of the blind (100), the center string (16) is fixed slightly higher. Several thin wooden bars (33,34,36) are vertically arranged along both sides which can also be manipulated by the pulling strings. When the drum is rotated the outer areas of the blind are lifted higher than the center, forming an attractive fan shaped semicircular bottom area.
