The compression ratio and timing setting device uses setting levers (10,11) associated with respective eccentric shafts (9) within the crank housing (18), with length-adjustable coupling elements (14,16) between the 2 setting levers and between each setting lever and a fixed point (17) of the crank housing. The length-adjustment of the coupling elements (14,16) may be effected via electric setting drives.
