The method does not employ an earthing system or conductor. Independent claims are included for: (a) the nature of the material used which for optimum effectiveness comprises a twin or triple layered air cushion film with a nap size of 1-100 mm, preferably 10 mm, and a surface resistance of 1020-101 ohm, preferably 105 ohm; (b) a use of the method in new building construction, e.g. ceilings, walls or roofs, in vehicles, e.g. in seat heating or general screening, as under layers, e.g. under beds or as intermediate layers in the case of electrically adjustable mattresses; and (c) the production of the material.
