The cable and equipment support system uses a grid mesh shaped into a rectangular profile which is open at both ends and across part of its front side, to allow insertion and removal of the electrical cables or apparatus. The grid mesh wires project vertically upwards at the base of the access opening, to form a retaining lip for the inserted cables or apparatus, with fixing points allowing the tray system to be secured to a horizontal or vertical surface of a desk or other piece of furniture.
