A device to deburr the tooth flanks of gear wheels or similar has four axles driven from an electronic synchronous control device. A first axle (4) is assigned to the work piece drive (8), a second axle (3) to the pivot axis of a tool (6), plus a third and a fourth axle to the position of the tool drive in one plane. Not only the work piece axle but also the tool axle lie in the plane and the tool is designed as a rotary finger miller. Outside of the servo-operated axles, no further adjusting axles are present. The control of the second to fourth axles takes place by the change of position of the first axle.
