Valve based on magnetorheological fluids for controlling hydraulic and pneumatic media

The valve assembly has a membrane (7) where its side opposite that facing the sealing seat, seals off a volume filled with a magneto-rheological fluid (9), and by selective action of a magnetic field is deflected onto the fluid. The magneto-rheological fluid is contained in a tightly sealed chamber (11) and the deformable membrane forms an impermeable partition between the working medium and magneto-rheological fluid. The chamber or volume may be closed off by a deformable membrane on two opposite sides.
