Modified melamine-formaldehyde resins made of a formaldehyde, melamine and modifier condensate contain a combination of (a) 5 to 25 % by weight, in relation to melamine, of dicyanodiamide; and (b) 8 to 30 % by weight, in relation to melamine, of a water-soluble polyalcohol with at least two hydroxyalkyl groups. The molar ratio between formaldehyde and melamine equals 1.2 to 2.5. Also disclosed is the use of said resins for manufacturing post-formed laminates.
