The technical domain of the invention is that of person identification. Movement information from image sequences that result when a typical or predetermined series of movements (2; 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d, 2e) is carried out by the person to be identified is evaluated. The series of movements is recorded and evaluated by means of a synergetic computer in order to ensure a high recognition dependability. Complementary audio and static image information may also be evaluated.
