PURPOSE: To provide a superconducting magnet coil, insulating layer and superconducting magnet which do not generate quench during the cooling and operating periods using an adhered resin which suppresses generation of micro- cracks of a resin layer which may be a cause of normal conducting transition (quenching). ;CONSTITUTION: A superconducting magnet coil formed by winding a superconducting wire and then sealing the wire with a resin, where a low constraint thermal stress and highly tough sealing a resin showing an elastic energy release coefficient G1c at 4.2K of 250J.m-2 or higher or/and stress expanding coefficient K1c of 1.5MPa.√m or higher or/and stress safety coefficient when cooled up to 4.2K of 3 to 11 and allowable failure size of 0.3 to 20mm is used, and a method of manufacturing the same superconducting magnet coil. Thereby, when a superconducting magnet coil is cooled up to the temperature of liquid helium, that is, 4.2 K and when operated after it is manufactured, micro-crack is no longer generated on the adhered resin and quenching can no longer take place.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
