Element of the tube is of the type comprising a cylindrical metal connecting member (30), male or female. It comprises a deformed portion (34) in which is arranged the connecting member (30). This segment (34) has a cross section in the general form of a t shaped by folding down of one half of the contour of the tube element on the other half of this contour and by folding, one against the other, two longitudinal zones (36, 38) of the edge of the section, so that they extend substantially perpendicularly to a central longitudinal zone (40) of the segment which connects them. The connecting member (30) is arranged in the deformed portion (34) in such a way that its axis extends substantially perpendicularly to the central zone (40) and in a junction plane of the border zones (36, 38).
