The braking warning system uses a battery(2) which feeds a transmitter unit(7) and a receiver unit(9) connected to a unit(10) which controls the opening of a relay(11). The latter permits lighting of a lamp(12) and actuation of a sound alarm(13) which can be adjusted by a unit(14). The transmitter and receiver units(7,9) are fed via a relay(6) which is controlled by a manual switch(4) fitted with a test lamp(5). The relay(6) operates when a micro-contact(3) is pressed via the brake pedal(1). The transmitter(7) with its antenna(8) emits a radio frequency, and the receiver(9) detects a radio signal transmitted to the unit(10) which feeds the relay(11). The sound emitted by the alarm(13) can be varied in intensity by means of the unit(14).
